How long does the diagnostic take?
About an hour. If a refrigerant leak search is needed, we tell you and agree it separately.
Can you just regas the A/C without diagnostics?
We can, but if the refrigerant escaped through a leak, it will escape again after the regas. Diagnostics shows what is needed: a regas or a repair.
Can I drive with a faulty A/C?
Yes, it usually does not affect the engine. But if the compressor is noisy, do not put off the check: its failure can damage other parts of the system.
