Wheel-off brake and suspension inspection in the RHP GARAGE workshop

Leaf Spring Replacement — with a shackle and bush check

The rear has sagged, the car leans to one side or the rear suspension bottoms out over bumps: common signs of tired or broken leaf springs. We support the chassis, remove the U-bolts and shackle bolts, fit the new springs and tighten the fixings with the car's weight on the wheels. We send photos and agree the price before we start, and show you the old springs afterwards.

Questions before you book.

Straight answers about the inspection, approval and next step.

Do both springs need replacing?

Usually yes: if one spring has sagged or cracked, the other on the same axle is tired too, and the car will lean.

Only with care and without a load. The other leaves take the extra load and can crack next.

Usually from three hours if the fixings come undone without trouble. Old seized bolts can add time.

Not sure which check comes first? Send the symptom as it happens and the advisor will confirm the starting point.
