It depends on the rack type and its condition. We quote both options and you choose.
Do I need wheel alignment after replacing tie rods?
Yes, replacing tie rods, tie rod ends or the rack changes the wheel angles, so we finish with wheel alignment.
Can I drive with a knock in the steering?
Better not to put it off: a worn tie rod or tie rod end loosens further over time, and the car responds worse to the wheel. Come in for a check.
