Bearing and Bearing Shell Replacement — for the crankshaft
An engine knock and an oil pressure warning on the dashboard are often caused by worn bearing shells. We remove the sump, check the crankshaft journals and clearances, replace the main and big-end shells and refill with fresh oil. Before the replacement we send photos of the old shells and agree the price.

How long does a bearing shell replacement take?
Usually from one day if the crankshaft journals are fine. If they need grinding, it takes longer.
Can I drive if the engine is knocking?
We don't recommend it: with worn shells the knock grows quickly and the crankshaft can be damaged. We can collect the car: free in DIP and nearby areas, from AED 100 elsewhere in Dubai.

Yes, we give a one-month warranty on the work.
