G-Class engine-bay inspection for A/C, engine and cooling concerns inside RHP GARAGE

Catalytic Converter Endoscopy — without removing it from the car

The engine warning light is on with a catalyst code, the car pulls weakly, or something rattles under the floor. We remove the oxygen sensor, insert an endoscope and look at the converter core: whether it is intact, melted, clogged or broken up. We send you the inspection video.

Questions before you book.

Straight answers about the inspection, approval and next step.

How long does the endoscopy take?

About an hour, including removing and refitting the oxygen sensor.

Most often because of misfires, or oil and coolant getting into the exhaust. That is why it is important to find the cause before a replacement, or the new converter will fail too.

Only briefly: pieces of the core can block the exhaust, and the engine loses power. If something rattles under the floor, book an inspection.

Not sure which check comes first? Send the symptom as it happens and the advisor will confirm the starting point.
