Why a smoke test if there's computer diagnostics?
A fault code shows the system has the wrong pressure or mixture, but not where the leak is. A smoke test shows where air is drawn in or exhaust escapes.
What does cylinder endoscopy show?
It lets us see the cylinder walls, pistons and valves without dismantling the engine. This helps decide whether an overhaul is needed.
Is the diagnostics fee credited if you do the repair?
Yes, the initial diagnostics fee is credited if we carry out the repair.
